As family names were carried through each generation (and still are)... you could try and form family groups to see which couples in Whitchurch use the same christian e.t.c (i.e brothers??)

and then again

1699 - John & Ann GARDYNER - had a Son Richard baptised.

Obviously needs sorting out!!! But a useful exercise, which may help!
