Lower Lydbrook Viaduct area - a little history (General)
Just found this on the site. My mum and her family lived in a cottage in Snows Lane, I believe this might be further up the hill to the cottage mentioned though I'm guessing. Mum's family were Dulcie Evans previously married to Godfrey Morgan and also then in Snows Lane. I don't know what the cottage was called or even if it had a name then. My grandmother Dulcie moved at some stage to Burgham House in Central Lydbrook until she died in 1971. My mum remembered they had an outside toilet which alaways had huge spiders! Her dad was Roland who died about 1943. If anyone has any information about the cottage (which maybe now called Belvedere Cottage)I would love to hear from them and anyone with any knowledge about the Evans family.
