Auntie Suzie and cousin Hubert...1960s memories (Urgent)

Does anyone remember a widow (Aunt Suzie) living with her adult son Hubert and many cats in a miner's cottage on a hillside (with a long trek to the outside toilet) the cottage had only just got electricity in the 1960s and still had oil lamps which Aunt Suzie preferred. Family think they lived around Drybrook or Lydbrook...

Thank you for trying. The cottage had only just got electricity but Aunt Suzie prefered oil lamps. Privy in the back garden some way from the house. Lots of cats! Hubert would have been middle aged....
