Hi. I am trying to find old photographs and info about my house. Valley View, The Slad, Longhope. It was built in 1878 and I think the original owner was Emmanuel Bullock who sold it to a James More? Any help would be appreciated as I am drawing a blank everywhere else. Many thanks.

My 3x grandfather was an Emmanuel Bullock whose address on the 1871 census was The Slad, Longhope. He died in 1879 just after your house was built, then his wife went to live with my 2x grandmother. His occupation was down as labourer but there were masons and bricklayers in the family. I see on the 1891 census there is a James and Fanny Moore living at The Slad. Unfortunately, none of this tells you what the name or number of the houses were!
