So I guess this is her :-

Year: 1912
Month: Oct
Day: 28
Parents_Surname: WILLIAMS
Child_Forenames: Emily Ellen
Fathers_Forenames: Arthur Edward
Mothers_Forenames: Bertha
Mothers_Surname:
Residence: Ruspidge
Occupation: miner
Officiating_Minister: F W Baldwin vicar
Event: Baptism
Memoranda:
Notes:
Register_Reference: P85/1 IN 1/3

so probably late 1920's before she was a Carnival Queen ( 16 + at a guess )

Yes, that's her, and yes, I assumed mid 1920s, not sure how ages for carnival queens worked then.

A good starting point would be the local newspapers.

For those of you who are interested in Carnivals in the Forest we have an excellent booklet which covers the Ruardean Carnivals.
