Margaret MURRELL / BRAIN 1847 Collafield / Edge Hill (General)

I have Jessie Brain's sister Margaret who was baptised 26 Sep 1847 as married to George Tyler 1846 on 6 April 1868 Flaxley.

Jessie Brain 1849 who married Margaret Murrell 1849 on 14 May 1871 Drybrook was Killed in Mine accident - Foxes Bridge Mine. Fall of roof at the face of the twenty inch vein from a slip which he was aware of and a joint which was not visible. The place seemed to been fairly well timbered. He died 2lst December 1897. He was buried 26 Dec 1897 Cinderford.

Jessie & Margaret Brain were children from William Brain 1807's second marriage to Susannah Hayward. Susannah was a widow from a marriage to James Harris 1818 in 1839. This marriage produced a child Mary Ann Harris who confusingly married a William Brain 1838, son of James and Agnes.

William Brain 1807's first marriage was to Sophia Annis 1803, she was buried Little Dean 12 Mar 1843. A child from this marriage was called Beatta Brain 1834 who died in Westbury on Severn workhouse Jan 1894.
