Wyastone Ganarew (General)
Good to hear from you again Slowhands.
I have a copy of the entry into the parish record and yes it is not easy to read.
It could be Lewstone or Wyastone.
The interesting item on the parish record is that it appears to be the first marriage at the rebuilt church as the entry is no 1 on page 1.
I believe the church, St Swithins was rebuilt abt 1837
Richard was a stone cutter/mason and could have been involved in the rebuild of the church. It would be nice to think they were the first couple married in the rebuilt church.
Was a marriage between brother and sister inlaw allowed in 1837?
I have not been able to establish why Susannah gave Timothy as her father I do not have a Timothy in my family unless someone can prove otherwise.
Kind Regards
Tony
