Cinderey Family (General)
I recently started researching one of my husband's aunt's family members. Her father was William Cinderey b:16 Jan 1906 Pennsylvania. After visiting them this summer and gleaming as much information as she could remember, gathering what few photo's she had, I began my search. After exhausting what I could find on ancestry and a couple of other websites I was able to determine her grandfather, John Herbert Cinderey b:11 Oct 1876 East Dean, Gloucestershire, England immigrated to USA in 1904 with his wife Mary (Murtagh?) and their oldest son Herbert Michael Cinderey b:16 Mar 1902.John Herbert was the son of John H b: 1854 and Elizabeth A Brain b:1850. I was also able to determine that John H (1854) was the son of George and Betsy (Wilks or Wilkes) Cinderey and thought that Georges father was named Guy.
I began to put together what little I had found for her and decided to do a little research on the East Dean to include with it when I go back to visit them in a couple of weeks. I came across this research forum yesterday. What a blessing! I found the 2006 and 2008 threads with loads of information!
I decided to post this information in case anyone would be interested in the records I have on John H and Mary Cinderey that immigrated to the US and their family.
