I am slightly perplexed as to why Adeline Ellen Reynolds born 1886,Bromsberrow.Her Father is Joseph Reynolds, yet on her marriage details to Harry Howell on feb 4 1914 the father 's name is William Reynolds,is there a reason for this.?I would love to solve this.
Regards,
Jeannine

Hi m p griffiths,
Once again thanks for getting back to me with reference to Mary Ann Reynolds & Arthur Palmer's Marriage of 1897.I was aware that Joseph her father had died in 1893,which is why I am still curious as to why Adeline Ellen has got William instead of Joseph as her Father.
Regards,
Jeannine.

I meant the actual marriage certificate you can purchase from the General Records Office.
His mother seems to have married again - see my 1851 census.

Without cross-checking it is difficult to say, whether the christian name of the father would be different.
With William Joseph HOWELL (father of Harry HOWELL) - Think it isn't often the middle name of the father is on a marriage certificate - but as I said before, this needs checking out, it could just be a bit of confusion., and from the GloucestershireBDM records, William HOWELLS was registered without the middle name of Joseph.
