oh sorry Jo... tricky one isn't it.. there are a number of young deaths for Stevenson, betweeb 1901 and 1911 alone, obviously appreciate that they may have been born and died before those dates :(..

think a trawl of the parish registers may be the only way....

have you looked at birth reg's of those children you have to see if there is another child at same time... I found a couple of missing children this way... obviously were twins but one had died :(
