Suggestion for Forum Posting wrt Internet Email Safety (General)
Hi,
Welcome to this great friendly forum, welldone for your most helpfull post.
Please may I draw your attention to the FAQ section re forum posts. Sadly it's unwise to include personal email addresses in posts, particularly with your own name too. As the forum is readable worldwide so it is open to the criminal fraternity who actively trawl the net looking for email addresses etc which they can then bombard with spam or even virusladen emails (this is all done using automated computer programmes, speaking from bitter experience you really don't want to suffer from it). As much as it saddens me to say it, I suggest you edit your post asap to delete the email & your full name. Please don't be embarrassed or offended, this seems a fairly common error particularly by new posters.
I've also contacted you direct to your home email via your blue "hyperlinked" username off this thread. This allows confidential & safe communication, unlike the forum, ideal for exchanging personal details & addresses etc. Furthermore as the message goes directly to the addressee's email inbox, it's more likely to be seen by them and certainly more quickly. Indeed, if you click on the blue hyperlink of the original "rfortey" poster, you'll see they have only ever posted on the forum once and not visited since January, so I suggest it's unlikely they'll see your post for some while if at all. Perhaps you could consider sending them a direct email to their pc inbox ?.
If a user leaves the forum for 12 months, they are considered to be inactive and their username will no longer be displayed as a usefull blue hyperlink.
I do hope this helps, good luck with your research and please carry on contributing to the forum.
