John WILLIAMS & Hester SANDFORD Huntley

by lindastewart @, Friday, May 04, 2012, 16:45 (4581 days ago) @ slowhands

Searching for parents of Ann Williams of Huntley

Some years ago we found, next to the Sanford headstones in Huntley churchyard, a small stone dedicated to Esther, wife of John Williams, who died May 4th, 1781 aged 30 years. Hester Sanford was baptised in Huntley in 1752 and marrried John Williams in November 1780. Perhaps she died in childbirth and John went on to marry another Esther, by whom he had the children mentioned by Slowhands, including Ann Williams?
