Mu apologies for jumping the gun! I was at the end if a very long nightshift! I'm quite confused by the fact that she may not have been a burrows at all, although for some reason I had it in my head that the Joseph burrows you mention was her father. If as you say, getting the marriage certificate may not help, I'm not sure where to go from here to check her identity and unravel her story! I think I will have to have a study when I've had some sleep!

The Marriage Cert may give some more clues - what I was trying to say was dont hang all your hope / funds on this !

The Rose BURRIS / BURROWS 1860 daugh of Joseph / Esther is also worth exploring.
