Westbury Marriages (General)

by tonyjenkins @, Tuesday, June 26, 2012, 09:00 (4529 days ago)

Good Morning All

Before sending for the marriage certificate I am trying to confirm the wedding of my 2x GGrandparents Richard Parry and Harriet Harris.

Richard was born abt 1855 in Newnham S/O John and Harriet.

Richard is living wuth his parents, John and Harriet (nee Broben) in Newnham on both the 1861 and 1871 census.

I believe Richard married Harriet Harris at Westbury in the last quarter of 1873 aged 17? (Free BMD). My GGrandfather William Ernest Parry was born 1881 (Gloucester)

The wedding of Richard Parry to Harriet Harris is not listed in our transcripts.

Can anyone please confirm the potential marriage before I commit to purchasing a certificate?

Kind Regards

Tony Jenkins

Thanks for the guide.

Is there a reason why some Westbury marriages are not listed on our web site?

Many Thanks Slowhands

A check on the GENUK site has identified the structure of the Gloucestershire registration districts and will probably help many researchers in a similar position to myself.

Once again many thanks
