Elizabeth Gough died 1797 Much Marcle, Herefordshire (General)

by deeannlud @, Tuesday, June 26, 2012, 19:36 (4528 days ago)

I am searching for a birth/christening for Elizabeth Gough. She is the mother of my ancestor Ann Burford who was christened 19 June 1791 Sollershope, Hereford, England

Elizabeth Gough married William Burford in Much Marcle on 30 May 1791.

William and Elizabeth Burford had three children:
Ann Burford 19 June 1791 Much Marcle
Henry Burford February 1794 Much Marcle
Hannah Burford 11 December 1796 Much Marcle

Elizabeth died in Much Marcle 1791.

Does anyone have any ideas how to find birth place and parents for Elizabeth Gough. I would very much appreciate any assistance you can give me.

Thank you so very much for your kind and prompt help and reply. I have seen those but, after researching "Elizabeth Gough" I have wondered how they determined that was her ancestry. How did she get to Much Marcle? Why is that Elizabeth Gough the correct one? I know it has her father's name as Henry Gauf, and she names a son Henry, but the Burfords are a whole line of Henry's so I'm not sure that is enough???? Probably it is correct, but I would love to see a few more clues. Again, thank you! thank you! for you resonse.

Tried to link to another tree with this information on Rootsweb -

but, just by googling

Ancestries of Errol Bevan and Hollie Atkinson Beven - with a

these have the GOUGH's with the same lineage - and as with the other website - an email address is listed - perhaps the Contributors have answers.

I kindly thank you so much for this good information. I will keep looking and post further. Perhaps, Elizabeth's birth record is not available because she certainly could be a sister of Honora. I will try to look at Wellington Parish Records.
