JAMES WOOD,married 1789, Little Dean; d.1850 Stapledge Lodge (General)
Searching for the parents of James WOOD, who married Martha MASON, 13 Dec 1789, and died 30 Jul 1850. There is a baptism of a James WOOD on 15 Jun 1766, son of Jam[sic] and Elizabeth WOOD in Little Dean. This same couple baptized a Sarah the 21 Feb 1768 and an Ann the 19 Nov 1769 also in Little Dean. How can I determine if this is my James WOOD? The James WOOD whose parents I seek was a Keeper [Woodward/woodreve] of the Forest of Dean as was his son, William. Both James and William lived at Stapledge Lodge. This is the William WOOD who married first to Harriot EVANS in 18 Aug 1827 and second to Mary by 1851. William WOOD died in 1877.Thank you for any help you might be able to give. Lynn
