Those confusing Deans (General)
"then East and West Dean which was used for administrative purposes such as the Census" - so if a census lists East or West Dean, that is a reference to a district. If a census lists "Littledean", then that is a village or settlement which is in either West Dean or East Dean? Is Little Dean the same as Littledean? And is Eastdean the district or a settlement?
I am hoping the map will help settle some more of my confusion.
