Tower House/Tower In the Wood, Pauntley area (General)
Having extensively searched the internet and the various old map sites it seems this area is badly served, I can find very little indeed re Pauntley, even the Maps sites dont find it via their own search engines !. It's not yet covered within the excellent British History series site, and unfortunately my hardcopy of the relevant volume 12 "Newent & May Hill" is at my mother's, grrr. Annoying, as I genuinely would like to discover more about Pauntley Court etc etc.
Anyhow having scoured the Old Maps site around Collinpark Wood (just South of Pountley Court) I only find one possible reference to a local Tower which MIGHT be relevant, sadly their earliest map is only 1889 so hundreds of years after Pauntley Court was at its peak so perhaps years after the aforementioned "Old Tower" ( a folley, a watchtower (wrt hunting in the Park ??) had fallen into disrepair..
If you visit http://www.old-maps.co.uk/maps.html and enter the following co-ordinates into the two boxes, 375820 and 227926. After the partial map loads then open the "1889 Worcestershire(part) 1:10,560" Map from the righthand menu.
On the resultant partial map, to the left/west of the Woods is Brands Green. Due east of this and on t'other side of the Woods is a word which I think is "Towers", hopefully in centre of map image. You may wish to tweak your pc screen enlargement so the image fills the screen; can still click the spyglass to further enlarge without loss of image clarity.
Admittingly not "in the Woods, but maybe this related to "thro the Woods" if coming from Brands Green, White House and the other more populated area west of the woods.
??
In very old times all this area was, I think, part of the Pauntley Estate.
Later maps on this site don't show this text, presumably what ruins MAY have been there in 1889 were soon taken away for recycling into newer houses as was the norm ?
One article I found that has a photo of Pauntley Court and is an interesting read abt Dick Whittington, born at Pauntley 1354.

Clearly Pauntley was a grand and more important estate in those days compared to the 1800s.
Hope this helps, if anyone can find some good website articles abt Pauntley then I'd love to read them, please.
