George Hyatt - Accidental Death ?
Sandra,
I'm sure MPG would have done so, but don't forget to check the Inquests section of this site if a death appears at all unusual or premature.
Sadly in this instance George isn't shown, but there are twelve HYETT inquests listed. Admittedly none appear to be Severnsiders so perhaps not yours, altho they still make interesting albeit sad reading.

However searching this site's PRs and Forum I see many HYETTs in Lydney, for example, which could quite possibly be related to your line, so yet another spelling variation to watch out for !
Benjamin SMITH / COLLINS 1809 ish Tidenham/Beachley area
hi i have another mystery benajmin smith married mary highatt in tidenham she was married to james highatt first he died and she married benjamin. thanks to help on here i have found the burial of mary smith in beachley in 1841 and benjamin in 1844 it states that he was alias collins what dose this mean. thanks for any help
Benjamin SMITH Alias COLLINS (Use of Aliases)
Alias (known by another name) was common, for whatever reason. I have HEWER alias RODBORN/RODBOURNE in my tree, which carried on for generations.
There are links by googling to explain the various reason. Trying to do the link..... but Google

Benjamin SMITH Alias COLLINS
thanks so should i look for both collins an smith for details on his baptism and that of thchildren.
Benjamin SMITH Alias COLLINS
It gets a bit complicated, as by looking at the 1841 census with Benjamin COLLINS (alias SMITH) and Mary - there is a Robert COLLINS aged 12 and Emma COLLINS 15 - and think these may be
Robert HIGHATT - christened at Tidenham 6 September 1829, parents James* & Mary.
Emma HIGHATT - christened 6 September 1829 (obviously christened together on the same day)
James was buried 21 December 1828

There is a Mary COLLINS, age 19 Housekeeper at Aylburton, born Tidenham 1851 census

SEARCH HINT for you Sandra:
I only found the above unexpected spelling variations while using the "%" wildcard character when typing the surname into the PR search page.
For example, just type "Hy%", this will find ALL the surnames starting "Hy....". Then repeat with "Hi%", then "Co%" for Collins etc. I think this is more reliable than relying on ticking the Soundex box. You can then quickly scan down the list of hits to pick out those most likely, eg Beachley area ones.
Good luck !
