Hi Dink,
thanks for this interesting new angle wrt the Great War.
Please, have you any particular personal links to the Lanes ?, as you may know a very common surname locally particularly across into Herefordshire - as I hadnt realised until I started researching my own small Lane branch which included a few generations of professional soldiering, as do their relatives the Beards.

I've found and read abt several! WW1 Lanes from our area while researching my own line and currently have Medal Cards and Service Records for a dozen or so applicable to me.
I'm intrigued as to how you research for Wounds rather than DiA, is this thro searching out "local" Medal Cards & Newspaper archives as I've done or do you have more specialist sources ?. I'd be gratefull to learn more, please, altho' if you're a pro Military researcher then I fully respect you may not want to share them.
