Help required transcribing a document (General)
This website has been a great source of information over the years, but this is my first post.
I'm been delving a little deeper into our pub's history and have an interesting document I'd like to upload. I've transcribed around 95% of it, but would appreciate the help of someone who has experience of script-style witting and old-fashioned terminology.
It's actually a facsimile of an 1872 copy, of a 1785 contract, for the sale of our property to John Keare (of Parkend) by Mary Worgan (of Poolway). It's not strictly family history, but it does contain some information on her husband and father-in-law which may be useful to someone here. If anyone is willing to help, please could you let me have your postal address (so that I can mail you the facsimile) and your email address (to send to my transcription).
Many thanks,
Alan Powell,
Landlord, The Fountain Inn.

A prior thread about your pub, which you've seen of course but others may find of interest.

Help required transcribing a document
Hi Alan,
I would be willing to have a look & possibly help with the transcription. I have a special interest in the Worgan family & have transcribed the Wills of John Worgan of Poolway (circa 1730-1780) & his widow, Mary (nee Dew) (1723-1801) - (the lady named in your contract I presume) - would these be of interest to you?

Hello Anthony, sorry for the delay in responding.
That would be great. If you could let me have your postal and email addresses I'll mail you a hard copy of the original (photocopy) and email you my transcription. You can contact me through the pub if you don't want to post it here.
Many thanks,
Alan.
