I'm looking for any information on my wife's GtGtGtGrandfather George Baker who had a son a son Richard that died at the age of 28yrs. I believe that George Baker married Sarah Mudway abt 1850 but I'm unable to find out anything about his father/mother; or the parents of Sarah Mudway. Any Information would be appreciated.

I am fairly new here and if you look in the parish records on this wonderful site the birth and death of Richard seems to be there.

Many thanks for the link I'll try to check the 1841 census but at the moment I'm not subscibed to Ancestry. I'm somewhat confused because I've just received a copy of the marriage certificate between George Baker and Sarah Mudway for the 29 May 1849 and George's father is shown as Richard, yet in the parish records it is down as Andrew.
Thanks again

The transcription should be on the basis of what is seen - so the transcriber probably felt that the word in the Register was "Andrew" , with hindsight someone else looking at it might say "Richard" !
Based on the Census and your Marriage Cert I think that Richard is correct. Multiple sources are always a good idea :-)
