Looking for parents of Maria Thomas married 28 September 1708 Newland, Gloucestershire to my 8th Great Grandfather Richard TOMBLINS born 1685 in Gloucestershire and died in Gloucestershire.

Any information on parents of Maria THOMAS would be appreciated.

I am also searching for Maria Thomas parents. I have come up with a french couple somewhere along the line. Jean and Catherine. B1685 in France near border of Belgium. Someone else had her on their tree but I am yet to prove. Love the idea though haha.

There are records 5 children born in Newland to a couple called Edward & Maria THOMAS as below :-

1678 THOMAS Martha Edward Maria
1683 THOMAS Hana Edward Maria
1686 THOMAS William Edward Maria
1688 THOMAS Joana Edward Maria[?]
1690 THOMAS Elizabeth Edward Maria

Quite a lot of Newland records of this period have been lost or are illegible. There is a reasonable possibility that Edward & Maria got married in 1676 or 1677 and called their first child Maria.

I've been researching my own Worgan ancestors from this place and time, and I am certain a lot of church records have not survived.
