It looks as though Hester and Esther are the same person, because Maria English was a witness at William`s and Jane`s wedding in 1868.Thankyou.

Marriage of William English and Jane Anger nee Jones
by winky , Winelands, South Africa, Saturday, December 29, 2012, 15:32 (4342 days ago) @ Paul Andrews
I have Jane Jones in my family tree. She was the daughter of Thomas Jones and Jane Edwards. Jane Edwards was the daughter of James Edwards and Mary Toes.
I have James Edwards as the son of William Edwards and Hester Wood.
My connection is the Edwards family. My grandmother was Cora Edwards the daughter of Samuel Edwards and Jane Emma James.
Hope this is of help.
Carol
