I'm wondering if the name "Edwin/Seymour Bailey" was pulled out of the air to avoid using "Edwin/Seymour Colchester" - Interestingly a well connected Seymour Baily family has connections to nearby ( 2 miles as the crow flys over Sandhurst Hill )Hatherly Manor / House http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2435485 ....

John Baily of Sutton, Somerset. He married Mary Seymour in 1758 and had a son,
Edward Seymour Baily. John died in Chagford, Devon around 1785.

Edward Seymour BAILY was made a Commander of the Royal Navy on March 21st 1782 and
posted Oct 25 1809 . His only daughter Mary Jane married the Rev John Turner of Hatterley House Gloucestershire approx 1811( Son of a banker).
