Lloyd George 1909 Land Survey (General)
Have just 'picked up' this new website from Gloucestershire Rootsweb
Lloyd George 1909 Land Survey
'Are you looking for someone in the early part of the 20th century? there is an on-going project to transcribe and analyse for Gloucestershire the survey of land values carried out as a result of the 'People's Budget' of 1909. The current database of properties, owners and occupiers that results from the project can be seen at:
You can search by parish, address, surname or company name. It will give you owners and occupiers for all properties so far transcribed plus rateable value, etc. Some 280 Gloucestershire places have been transcribed so far.
Why not have a look'
Transcribed : East Dean, 4,478 and West Dean 3,945

This seems to be a very useful addition for family tree research, and by entering my WICKENDEN name, have found my x Grandad occupier New Road, Blakeney, so others will also find this site very useful.
