by Julia118 @, Sunday, July 07, 2013, 09:10 (4152 days ago)

Does any one have any information regarding the Family of Charles and Florence Vaughan, Pastors Hill, Bream.

Charles was a Keeper(?) of the Pit Ponies at one of the Mines in the Forest. He died sometime in the middle to late 1960's.

Florence died around 1982.

They had approximately 11 children from their marriage, which was second marriage for Charles.

Thank you very much for the information, and prompt reply. Whilst compiling the Vaughan side of my family tree I have found that on the last few birth certificates my Grandmothers (Florence Vaughan) maiden name is different to that on the earlier children. Are you able to throw any light on this matter? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks again for the prompt reply and info

Two of the Children died in infancy, Albert Charles was buried on 30 August 1927 at St Briavels aged 9 years, his address is Round House, Bream Road, St Briavels, David Owen was buried on 2 April 1936 at Bream aged 2 years, his address is Pastors Hill, Bream. Interestingly Albert Charles burial is recorde with the Suirname WILLIAMS suggesting he was born illegitimately. I have found the marriages of the other 11 children, but as some of them are probably still alive I would rather send you this information offline, to send my an email just click on my envelope.

If you give me more information about the change in you grandmothers maiden name I will have a further look. I need to know which children and the changed name.
