Thanks for that, s/hands. Solved. I did find the whole area on one of the early on-site maps here, and stupidly have been entirely unable to find it again; the maps seem to keep jumping about, and turning into a 'parishes' map. But it was clear that a) that there are several Lane Ends, and b)that they are all more or less in the same area.
