Frances ADAMS circa 1700 (General)

I am trying to establish which Frances Adams married Thomas Hobbs at Newnham in 1719. One was the daughter of William and Frances and was baptised at Littledean in December 1695, the other was the dughter of James and Abigaile and she was baptised in January 1697 also at Littledean. She died, according to the Bigland transcription for Ruardean on 3rd July 1752 at the age of 56. This would indicate that by her age she was the daughter of William and Frances and this argument is strengthened by having the same Christian name. However, all the connections in Ancestry's Family Trees show that she was the daughter of James Adams and Abigaile Stille which has now confused me.
I would be very grateful and indebted to anyone who has any information that will confirm who her parents were.

Hi, Colin.

Not everyone who posts on ancestry has done their homework. Some have, and have come to wrong conclusions. (I, myself, was guilty of that.) Then someone else comes along, and just copies the work that the first person has done. Before long, you can have multiple trees all confirming the same bit of potentially flawed work.

The other trees may be correct, or there may be an error. If possible, contact the tree owner and ask them about their research. Share what you've found with them. Have a discussion.

Good luck!
