My grandmother was Hester Rosehannah Ball nee Allen born 1851 died 1934 in Gloucestershire. Her Grandmother was Susannah Huntley born c 1790 in Slimbridge. According to Hester's funeral notice Susannah was the niece of the last squire Huntley of Huntley Manor. I can not find any information on this and was hoping that someone could help. Thank you all for taking the time to read this.

So that I'm clear, is this a reference to the Huntley Manor in the Forest? i.e. the one in the Huntley/Longhope/Newent area? If it isn't then please disregard all the following!
The Manor of Huntley was originally in the ownership of Henry, Duke of Kent (d. 1740). Some time before that it was sold to the Probyn family and remained in their ownership until 1884. At that point it was sold into the Ackers family where it remained for the next hundred years. The modern house was built around 1862 but extensive alterations commenced in 1885 and continued, on and off, for many years after that. I'm not aware of any occupation by a family with the name of Huntley. However, there was a Huntley family who occupied the Boxwell Court, a short distance from Dursley (and hence Slimbridge) and who may have taken their name from the Lordship of Huntley in earlier days.

Thank you for all your replies I was just looking at a funeral notice for my Great- Grandmother which stated that her Grand mother was the niece of the last Squire Huntley of Huntley Manor which is why I posted on here ,but it would seem that this information was probably given by a family member and not totally accurate
