Nell (Sadie) Wadley of Joyford (General)
Hi Everyone
My father-in-law, Ron Powell, who was born and raised in Berry Hill, hasn't heard from his cousin 'Nell' Wadley who lived at Joyford, for two years. Can someone let me know what has become of Nell, please? Has she passed away? Her formal name is Sadie H O (raised Powell) Wadley.
Kind wishes
Jan

Thanks for the reply. I'm not looking for historical data. I'm just wanting someone local to let me know (in private if you like) whether or not she is alive. She used to send a calendar every year to Ron, but hasn't for two years and Ron fears she may have died and he hasn't been notified.

Hi Jan,
I appreciate what you say, but please remember only a fraction of the Forest's residents read this forum on a regualar basis, if at all. Hence for those who don't know the family I was trying to hopefully help by "fleshing out" your post including clarifying critical details such as likely age etc. Also, if she has passed away, then such detail is helpful when searching the Records. That said I cannot see Sadie on any such records, and unfortunately the FoD Burials Enquiry website is still u/s altho' it may be well-worth you contacting them in person.

This forum isn't intended for tracing living relatives as you know. I think your best plan is to write open letters to the local newspapers and hope a relative or acquaintance spots it. This old post may help you in this respect.

Good luck.
