Are you sure of the parents,only looking at the censuses the only George Henry Hobbs I can find matching that criteria has parents Richard and Phebe?
1871 Oakley bedfordshire
Richard Hobbs 42 estate manager East Dean
Pheobe 39/59 Coleford
George 9 East Dean
Emma 7 East Dean
