To post in capital letters is not polite, to post so bluntly to people who give their time, expertise and their cash to keep this free website running for all of us who use it is extremely impolite ? Incidentally, I research Williams from St Briavels, the line with Richard and Hannah Pead and have a wide tree from them if of interest?

1. The use of all Upper case letters is contrary to the guidelines – please read the “must read before posting” section at the head of the Forum. Also, in most circles it is considered to be shouting and can often be considered offensive.

2. This matter has been aired before on this Forum and suggestions on how to overcome this problem have been given. We would add that the Forum is not really the place for this as it is meant to be a discussion forum for Family History matters.

3. The person posting this message should have used the correct contact form for the query – it would have been delivered to the right people and he would have received a polite and informative explanation by now.

As one of the administrators and secretary to the Trustees, I would like to assure everyone that we are aware that some users are experiencing this problem, it is being addressed but will almost certainly mean the upgrading of our hosting package which will lead to higher costs. Regretfully this cannot be progressed until our Technical Volunteers are back from well deserved holidays. So in the meantime I can only ask you to be patient and read the guidelines given in an earlier posting and which are repeated here:

Access to resources such as Parish Records:
First of all check that you have Cookies enabled (http://www.forest-of-dean.net/index.php/help-faq#faq3 ) and that you have agreed to accept cookies - the link is on the front page.
Secondly if you have logged in and clicking on "Search Parish Records" is answered by "Only registered users can view this page! Please Log-in or Register." then do not log out but log in again from that page.

Session finished/Posting to the Forum:
I strongly recommend you prepare your post in a text file and when completed, log in and then copy and paste the item to the online form. We do not have any control over the length of a session as it is dictated by the level of activity on the servers at the time.
