Thomas Jenkins possibly associated with a Maria Priest (General)

by janethowell, Tuesday, June 03, 2014, 23:12 (3820 days ago)

I am trying to find the maiden name of Thomas's wife Maria

Thomas Jenkins (b. abt 1782-86) m. Maria abt 1811 Newland?
Many hours of research and cross checking suggest Maria is most likely Maria Priest - but there are 3 in the Newland / Mitcheldean area that fit (b. abt 1794-96)

On the 1841 census they are living at Mill Hill with 8 of their 14 children.

Can anyone offer anything from their own research to confirm a Maria Priest as my gggg-grandmother or even to rule her out.

My first posting - and am ploughing through the archives in case there is a dormant clue their

I thank you so much for this and taking the time to transcribe the will.

This confirms what I have for Thomas and Maria.

I am descended from one of Thomas and Maria's sons - Shadrach Jenkins

I will go through my info and consolidate this information.

Thanks again

Janet
