ROOKE Charles RAMC (General)
Thank you for this information which confirms my suspicions that Charles Rooke RAMC did survive the war and married post war. I have long thought that this was one and the same man who died in the 1960's, although I can find nothing to substantiate this. It is possible that Charles Rooke's father/mother or some other were keen that since he had served during the war his name be added to the memorial which is possibly where the confusion arose.
