SAMUEL PARRY (General)
This might be the family of the Samuel PARRY buried at Hartpury in Feb 1870,
GR 1851 Census, Hartpury
Samuel PARRY, Head, Mar, 37, Ag Lab, b. Gloucestershire, Long Hope = born 1814
Mary, Wife, Mar, 37, Glos. Hucklecote
Elizabeth, Daur, 7, Scholar, Glos. Hartpury = born 1844
Ann, Daur, 6, Scholar, Glos. Hartpury = born 1845
Eliza, Daur, 3, Glos. Hartpury = born 1848
Samuel, Son, 7m, Glos, Hartpury = born 1850
Not certain, but it looks like the wife/mother of this family was Mary BROWN. However there were a few Mary Browns born Gloucester abt 1814 and none of the Baptisms or 1841 Census records I've seen on LDS quote "Hucclecote", so ??

Adding to Mike's Census post for Samuel Senior born "1814 Longhope", prob living Hartpury;
1891 Census, Church Rd, Hartpury.
Household Role Gender Age Birthplace
Samuel Parry Head M 77 Widower. Gloucestershire, England
Wen Parry Grandson M 19 Gloucestershire, England
and perhaps
1841 Census, Coopezs, Hartpury.
Household Role Gender Age Birthplace
James Coleman M 25-29 Gloucestershire
Eliza Coleman F 24-28 Gloucestershire
Caroline Moody F 20-24 Gloucestershire
Ann Baird F 25-29 Gloucestershire
Samuel Parry M 25-29 Gloucestershire
William Howell M 15-19 Gloucestershire
Which MAY support the theory that his son Samuel b1850 travelled to Durham with his 19 year old sister Julia;
1881 Census, Dodd St, Elvet, Durham, England
Household Role Gender Age Birthplace
William Coltman Head M 40 Coal miner. Pensher, Durham, England
Jane Coltman Wife F 37 Gateshead, Durham, England
Samuel Parry Boarder M 30 Coal miner. Longhope, Gloucestershire, England
Assuming this name should read Coleman, not a rare name no doubt in Durham, but a POSSIBLE link to their Hartpury home, perhaps ?
OR INDEED PROBABLY NOT, as there is indeed a surname COLTMAN in the Durham area, and plenty more Census entries fro William & Mary Coltman too. Ah well..
