Hi Jane, just a thought, was elusive Fanny ever known as Frances, perhaps she used this more formal version of Fanny for her Marriage Record for example ?

That said, I've searched all the PRs and also the excellent GlosBMD site for ALL births of "Lea/Leigh/Lee", forename starting "F" after 1850 and without success, except perhaps this one ??

Does the word "sponsor" suggest a Charity involvement here, possibly religious ?, or is this just a formal way of saying Godparents etc, I have asked this question of the forum in the past but without clarification.
