Maps-New free online resource (General)

A project to scan and make available old maps held by the Bristol and Glos Archives has been going on for some time.

Some of the Gloucestershire maps have now been uploaded on the following site.

A dedicated Gloucestershire site will be available soon, the southglos site links in to the original Bristol map site at

http://maps.bristol.gov.uk/kyp/?edition=

Whilst on this site if you click on BASEMAPS on the right hand side you can see what maps are available, they include Tythe maps and others going back to the 1750's.

Over the coming months these type of maps will be added for the county of Gloucestershire.
