FOREST SILICOSIS VICTIM
The adjourned inquest on a silicosis victim, Thomas Gwynne Griffiths (58), colliery deputy of Walkers L.ane, Ruardean, was held at the Dilke Memorial Hospital on Tuesday by the Forest Coroner (Mr. M. F. Carter). Dr. A. L. Taylor, hon. pathologist at Bristol General Hospital, gave details of a post-mortem examination he made on October 2 at the Dilke Memorial Hospital. The cause of death was heart failure following advanced pulmonary tuberculosis consequent on silicotic pulmonary flbrosis. The case was one of long standing silicosis. The Coroner recorded a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence.
