If you were/are born in Wiltshire (as was I) you are known as 'Moonrakers' and there are tales on the 'net', why one is called by this name.

?? is the correct Matthew
I was trying to work out why some-one from Wiltshire, would marry a girl from Kent (which was a Military area)
National Archives (which can be downloaded from FindmyPast)
MATTHEW NORRIS, Born Lynhum Wiltshire
Served in Fife Fencibles; 50th Foot Regiment
Date: 1801-1818
Discharged aged 39 (Discharged in 1818) = born c1779 - which ties in with the baptism 1780
covering dates give year of enlistment to year of discharge.
Baptisms at Tidenham start not long afterwards i.e. 28 March 1819
---
**
Margaret was probably from Chatham, Kent (not Macham) as per Census returns
** Chatham - Military Barracks etc
National Archives has other Wiltshire males in the same regiment - so must have been a drive to recruit in Wiltshire at that time.

Awesome! I now have moved back two generations. I can't thank you enough. I also checked on the Wiltshire "Moonrakers", and found it very interesting. It reminds me of the Poldark series. Looking forward to spending time in England and Wales.
