Pace family (General)
I hope someone can help me, I am researching this family tree for a dear friend, he is sure that William Pace born 1740 married Elizabeth Sallis is related to the pace family from Westbury on Severn, then Richard pace born 1581 moved to Prees then John pace ch October 1651 moved to Hodnet then Thomas b 1724 married Jane and moved to Stockton,nr Bridgnorth Shropshire.
Any help would be gratefully received.

Please do you have any more information about William and Elizabeth ?. For example do you know where they were born and married ?. My initial searches cannot find either of them within this site's Parish Records, for example.

Kemerton is northeast of Tewkesbury, was once in Glos but now Worcestershire, so a little outside of this site's Forest of Dean coverage. However it's very near the River Avon which feeds the Severn, both major transport links in the past, so it does seem possible William & Elizabeth are linked to the Westbury area.
This detailed history of Kemerton mentions various members of the Pace family, I wonder if they're in your tree ?

Yes that is the couple.
My friend was always told the story about a relative (Thomas Pace b 1816 ish ) who was transported to tazmania for stealing a sheep, so we thought these two families are joined somehow.
