On this site's PRs there's a marriage of a Hannah Maria Head (widow) to George Morgan (widower) at Staunton in 1929. Witness Albert Ayres Head. Brides father Henry Taylor.

Parish Records also have;

Which confirms born abt 1860 as per o/p.

Cannot yet find a definite "matching" Burial Record for George Morgan.

I wonder if he's on the 1939 Register ?

Re the above Baptisms;

Searching whole UK FreeBMD database for all "George W Head", this is the only match for George Witford Head, AND it's in our district AND timeframe too !

Surname First name(s) District Vol Page
Births Mar 1887
HEAD George Whitford Monmouth 11a 19

Searching again as an unusual name, cannot find a definite Marriage, but can find this perfect match. Wandsworth is in south/central London.

Surname First name(s) DoB District Vol Page
Deaths Jun 1970 (>99%)
HEAD George Whitford 1De1886 Wandsworth 5e 1208

So Alice def born abt 1885.

FreeBMD confirms;

Surname First name(s) District Vol Page
Births Sep 1884
Head Alice Elizabeth A Camberwell 1d 943

So Alice was born in Camberwell (see below), south/central London, and very near the aforementioned Wandsworth district.

Only two other Alfred Head PRs in the whole database (there are only 132 HEADs in total), both our family;

Record_ID: 77975
Entry_Number: 2954
Year: 1928
Month: Jan
Day: 12
Surname: HEAD
Forenames: Alfred
Residence: Retired Baker

Age_at_death: 87
Officiating_Minister: Rev[eren]d C H M Fasson
Event: Interment
Cause_of_death:
Memoranda: (1) 33 Newland St[reet] Coleford (2) [not stated] (3) CC 18 (4) Consecrated (5)
Notes:
Register_Reference: DA25 / 204 / 30
Page_No: 47
Parish_Chapel: Coleford Cemetery
Soundex: H300

So born abt 1841.

This record for Alfred Head, ex-baker of Coleford, seems a very good match with the Marriage record to Hannah Taylor in Camberwell London found by Mike Pinchin; it seems both slightly adjusted their ages to reduce the apparent age-gap. Also note Alfred died in 1928, the year before the marriage of widow Hannah Maria Head to George Morgan found by probinson, seeming to indicate the same Hannah.

Sadly;

Record_ID: 75812
Entry_Number: 808
Year: 1885
Month: Jan
Day: 4
Surname: HEAD
Forenames: Alfred and James
Residence: Son of Alfred Head and Hannah his wife
Age_at_death: 2
Officiating_Minister: Thomas Williams
Event: Interment
Cause_of_death:
Memoranda: (1) Coleford (2) South Div'n 1/2 Adults Gr (3) F 32 west (4) Unconsecrated (5)
Notes:
Register_Reference: DA25/204/2
Page_No: 41
Parish_Chapel: Coleford Cemetery
Soundex: H300

So Alfred "and James" ???, born abt 1883, which seems in line with the siblings.
