Vara Lydia Rack who married Tom Phillips Monmouth 11a 76 Sept 1884 (from BMD) was this her true name,and where did she come from.Had thought it might be Ruck!!

Vara Lydia Rack

As you say it should be RUCK not Rack, I believe her real name was Vera Lydia although it is sometimes shown as Vara and even Varia.
Vera Lydia was born in West Dean, F.o.D in 1862. My husband is a direct decendent on his mother's side, so if you want to know more about the family I have lots of info if you contact me I will help.
