NK on census form (General)
I recently downloaded a census form and underneath the 'Where Born' column were the letters N K.
I take this to be short for 'Not Known'. Is it possible that in 1901 someone of 42 did not know where they were born? Or is there a more suble interpretation, eg, not wishing to be traced?
Gordon.
NK on census form
Hi Gordon
It could be that someone else supplied the information for that person and so may not have known his birthplace.
