Tovey connections? (General)

Just going on a hunch, so this probably (genealogy-speaking)is quite off-base
but I have an idea of a Hopkins/Kear/Tovey connection in FOD-Monmouthshire
areas. Hope someone can help me with this hunch. This is pre-1845, as my
Kear/Tovey lines were in USA(Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania) by 1845.
