hi can anyone help i am searching for any information on simmons family from bulley may 3x gt. grandfather was born there in 1806
i have looked on parish records on here and found buriel for jane simmone 1785 but cannot find any others

If you provide a little more information I may be able to help. My wife has Simmons relative in the Churcham/Bulley area in the mid-late 1700s.

hi thank you for getting back to me all i have is james simmons born 1806 in bulley i'm afraid thats not a lot to go on the next i have on him is his marriage to ann french from giggleswick they were married in manchester around early 1830's
i would be grateful for any information

Could you let me know where you found James Simmons bithplace from. I`ve looked at both the Bulley & Churcham records and can`t find a baptism.

the birth place is given on census returns for 1841 it is actually transcribed as bally which had me baffled but when i looked closer at the original copy it definatly says bulley glouc.

Places of birth were not given on the 1841 census only place of residence. Have you checked the 1851 census for place of birth?

apologies on the 1851 census place of birth was given as gloucester but on the 1861 census place of birth given as bulley gloucestershire
