KEARS and MORGANS
by freda, Wednesday, September 03, 2008, 15:19 (5996 days ago)
Have just joined the site and have managed to find a lot of family . I am researching the MORGAN family of Bream and Woolaston. Henry Morgan moved to pontypool in the late 1880's and was killed along with his 2 sons in the Llanerch mining disaster of 1890 . My grandmother can remember the name KEAR being in the family somewhere. Have looked at the parish records , there are a lot of Kears who are god parents to Morgan children but I can't find a family connection. would be grateful for any help . Many thanks Freda

Thanks for all the help . It seems the Kears and Morgans were closely linked . They all seemed to head for Pontypool at the same time . A Louisa Kear married an Alexander Morgan in Pontypool in 1915. freda

I have a Henry Morgan b.c1840 married to Mary Kear 25.3.1861, at Bream. Witnesses were Charles Morgan and Elizabeth Kear, Henry's father was William and Mary's John. Any connection?
