Joys Green (school 1895-1899) William Owen

Hi
I am pursuing information relating to William Owen, who taught at Joys Green School as his first teaching post, between 1895 and 1899. Would there be any archives or photographs which might shed further light on his time at the school please ? Ideally a photo of the school from that date, or if not, I would settle for a photo of Joys Green hamlet itself. I would also like to clarify if it was just a primary school, or if at that time it taught up to an older age, 16 perhaps ?

I have already emailed Gloucester Archives and am awaiting a response. I Understand the school has only just closed, which is very sad. I gather that in its day, there were over 250 pupils there.

I am also interested to learn if a Gwendoline Empsall taught at the school at or around the same time.

Any information anyone can provide would be most useful, as I am currently in the final stages of writing a short biography about Mr Owen. If there is a good photo or two, that I can use in my book, I will be pleased to acknowledge and recompense you for.

many thanks
