George Robinson (General)
Hello, I am trying to get a further generation back by finding the parents of my 3x Gt Grandfather George Robinson. Working from census records I have George's birth year as somewhere between 1826 to 1830. His birth place is given as Taynton or Longhope. His occupation is given as a grocer.
In 1856 he married Hannah Marina Drew and they had six children; William, Fanny, Ann Elizabeth, Hannah Marina, Hannah and Alice.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Diane
George Robinson
I have now got George and Hannah Marina's marriage certificate. George's father is Thomas Robinson, occupation Journey Man of Hangerberry, West Dean. Big ask, I know, but does anyone else have this family in their tree?

Thanks Slowhands,
I see this couple also had a daughter Ann in 1837. I'm foraging about but at the moment can't be sure this is the right family.
Thanks again for your help.
Cheers
