George Davis c1797 Newent (General)

I have two baptism possibilities for George Davis, both in Newent. One is 30th July 1797 and the other is 13th May 1798. How can i tell which is the correct one?
I have details of his marriage, but the parents names are not listed.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks, Mike

I can track him through all the census's until 1881 in Upleadon and Newent, and have presumed that he is the George Davis listed as dying aged 85 in Newent, vol:6a page 138. I don't have his death certificate though. Mike
